Communication, critical thinking, and Ghana’s growing hospitality industry — in one department.
Welcome to the Department of Liberal Arts and Hospitality Studies (LAHS). We were established in September 2023, replacing the former Department of Liberal Arts and Communication Studies as part of the Institute’s restructuring.
We are one of three departments within the School of Technology and Social Sciences, pairing the liberal arts — communication, languages, ethics, research methods, African studies, critical thinking — with professional training in tourism and hospitality management.
Whether you join our undergraduate hospitality programme or a graduate programme in development communication or public relations, you will learn from faculty who bridge scholarship and industry.
Thank you.
