Computer Science & Information Systems

Software, information systems, health informatics, digital forensics and cybersecurity.

The department teaches computing from first principles through to applied practice: programming and systems design at undergraduate level, then information systems, health informatics, digital forensics and cybersecurity at graduate level.

What sits here

Eight programmes, from a diploma in applied computer science to a PhD in information systems. The MSc in Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity runs as a laboratory-based programme with live acquisition and analysis work.

Research

Faculty publish on information systems in developing economies, on the organisational side of technology adoption, and on the forensic and security questions that follow. The department's doctoral seminar is open to researchers across the Institute.
